Spandau Ballet - "True"

Spandau Ballet struck gold with "True"--a ballad clocking in at 5:19. "True" came out in 1983 and the rules from then certainly don't apply today as most songs average about three minutes in length. Can you imagine if Katy Perry put out a five minute ballad? The kids would lose interest about 20 seconds into it and begin feverishly Snapchatting their friends...
