Fine Young Cannibals "She Drives Me Crazy"

Chicago television commercials touting Q101's "Murphy in the Morning Show" from the early-'90s featured "She Drives Me Crazy" from Fine Young Cannibals. Many Chicagoans may recall that Murphy wore a straitjacket in many of the commercials. During the short time I worked with Murphy in the early 2010's, he admitted he was beyond tired of fielding questions about the infamous straitjacket.

Fine Young Cannibals - "Good Thing"

I could go on and on about what I love about spring training baseball, but one of the more obscure reasons is that there's usually some old dude running the P.A. system.  Sure this person sounds very old school when announcing the players, but the old dude uses the time between innings to bust out jams from 30 years ago.  For example, I watched an abundance of spring games online in 2016 and during one particular game, the song "Good Thing" by Fine Young Cannibals played between innings of one game and then again later that week during a pitching change.  Perhaps the guy running the P.A. system was once a huge Fine Young Cannibals fan. If not, maybe the team should think about investing in some new CDs before next season.

Fine Young Cannibals - "She Drives Me Crazy"

Fine Young Cannibals (or FYC) made a big splash in 1989 with their The Raw & The Cooked album which gave us "Good Thing" and "She Drives Me Crazy".  I just remember the old Q101 using the song in one of their infamous commercials touting Murphy in the Morning.
