Natalie Cole "Pink Cadillac"

Bruce Springsteen originally released "Pink Cadillac" as the B-side of "Dancing in the Dark". He later declined Bette Midler's request to remake the tune claiming it wasn't a "girl's song". He later had a change of heart, only this time he allowed Natalie Cole to remake the song in 1988. It became her biggest hit in a decade.

Natalie Cole "A Smile Like Yours"

One of the few positive things to come of the movie A Smile Like Yours was the theme song from Natalie Cole. Panned by critics and movie-goers alike, the movie grossed just over $3 million in 1997. The song, however, became a Top 10 hit for Cole on the Adult Contemporary Chart.

Natalie Cole - "This Will Be"

2016 can go away now.  Aside from delivering us Donald Trump, the year saw numerous A-List talent taken from the music world.  In fact, the year started with the news that Natalie Cole passed away (12/31/15).  Despite being notorious for remaking her dad's songs, Natalie's resume will always include "This Will Be".  Even though it was a hit in 1975, the tune resurfaced during the 2000s in numerous television commercials for the online dating service eHarmony.  In fact, when eHarmony brought back the creepy old white guy (Neil Clark Warren) to do their commercials in 2012, they also dusted off "This Will Be" for the campaign.

Natalie Cole - "I Live For Your Love"

The same album (Everlasting) that saw Natalie Cole covering "Pink Cadillac" also birthed the Adult Contemporary hit "I Live For Your Love".  Everlasting was released in 1987 and was considered to be Cole's comeback album.  The album also contained a remake of her father's "When I Fall in Love"--Rick Astley also released a version of the classic ballad that year as well.

Natalie Cole - "Miss You Like Crazy"

The year 2016 started with the sad news that Natalie Cole passed away.  Daughter of Nat "King" Cole, Natalie first performed on her Dad's Christmas album when she was just six years old.
