Fleetwood Mac "Dreams"

When asked to name a sports movie that instantly brings them to tears, most men instantly blurt out Field of Dreams. The movie that starred Kevin Costner and whispered, "If you build it, he will come.", premiered in theaters 30 years ago today. The baseball-themed movie found its way into the hearts of men everywhere -- more so than Costner's previous baseball-themed flick, Bull Durham, that premiered a year earlier.

Fine Young Cannibals - "Good Thing"

I could go on and on about what I love about spring training baseball, but one of the more obscure reasons is that there's usually some old dude running the P.A. system.  Sure this person sounds very old school when announcing the players, but the old dude uses the time between innings to bust out jams from 30 years ago.  For example, I watched an abundance of spring games online in 2016 and during one particular game, the song "Good Thing" by Fine Young Cannibals played between innings of one game and then again later that week during a pitching change.  Perhaps the guy running the P.A. system was once a huge Fine Young Cannibals fan. If not, maybe the team should think about investing in some new CDs before next season.
