Carly Simon "You Belong to Me"

The other song from Carly Simon whose title starts with "You" is the 1978 hit "You Belong to Me". Throughout the years, numerous other artists remade the soft rock gem including Jennifer Lopez, Anita Baker and Chaka Khan. Chaka enlisted help from the smoothest voice in the land: Michael McDonald to sing the tune with her in her 2007 album Funk This. Chaka Khan & Rufus "Ain't Nobody"

The directive Rufus gave to Warner Brothers was simple: the funky pop-R&B song "Ain't Nobody" must be the lead single on Rufus and Chaka Khan's Stompin' at the Savoy album, or else they would give the song to Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones for inclusion on Michael's Thriller album. Warner Brothers originally balked but ultimately dropped their objections and the song went on to become the band's signature tune.

Peter Cetera & Chaka Khan - "Feels Like Heaven"

"Feels Like Heaven" is one of those power ballads that got lost in the shuffle.  Peter Cetera released the song during a time of massive transition on the radio.  Gone were the days of Cetera and his contemporaries ruling the Top 40 chart as the early-90s saw the move from pop to alternative, rap, and urban songs dominating the Top 40.  The Adult Contemporary audience was all that was left to embrace "Feels Like Heaven", and the song found success there (#4).
