Vanessa Williams - "Save The Best for Last"

The story behind "Save The Best for Last" is almost as good as the ballad itself.  Written in 1989, numerous artists were offered the song...yet no one wanted it.  As Vanessa Williams was putting the finishing touches on her The Comfort Zone album, she found herself in need of another song.  Enter "Save The Best for Last" and Williams couldn't believe that no one else had snatched it up.  Vanessa took the song to #1 in 1992 where it placed as one of the top songs of the year and became her signature song.  Sometimes the snow comes down in June and sometimes the best things come to those who wait.
