Gloria Estefan - "Coming Out of the Dark"

In 1989, Gloria Estefan nearly died when her tour bus was rear-ended by a semi truck during a bad snowstorm in Pennsylvania.  Estefan required multiple surgeries and nearly a year of physical therapy.  She prevailed and turned a near tragedy into a #1 song in 1991 with "Coming Out of the Dark".
