The Honeydrippers - "Sea of Love"
A neighbor of mine named Jimmy lived just outside the cul-de-sac where I grew up. I only remember two things about Jimmy: 1. All the kids in the neighborhood (including myself) were afraid of his dad--even though we had never met him. 2. Jimmy liked to sing. During the summer of 1984, Jimmy would sing "Sea of Love" by The Honeydrippers, but he used some liberties with the lyrics. He would belt out:
