Sergio Mendes - "Alibis"

Isn't the English language interesting?  One look at the word alibis and you'd likely pronounce it "al-eh-biss".  But, no.  It's actually "al-uh-byes".  "Alibis" happens to be a song title from Sergio Mendes' Confetti album.  Buuuut, Mendes didn't actually sing the song.  Rather it was Joe Pizzulo (who also sang on Mendes' other AC hit "Never Gonna Let You Go".)  "Alibis" peaked at #5 on the Adult Contemporary Chart in 1984.
