Madonna - "American Pie"

Don McLean's "American Pie" was such an American classic that no one other than "Weird Al" Yankovic dared to touch it.  Having made her career prying open doors that others told her to never open, Madonna glossed up, danced up, and shortened the eight-and-a-half minute long "American Pie" in 2000 and the song became an instant hit (again).
