Boy Meets Girl - "Waiting For A Star to Fall"

Sometimes an artist's biggest hit is a song they wrote for someone else.  The same can be said for George Merrill and Shannon Rubicam who penned "How Will I Know" and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" for Whitney Houston.  However, the duo found success with a song of their own in 1988: "Waiting For A Star to Fall" featured a staple of all 80s Adult Contemporary songs--the saxophone solo.  Aside from its frequent plays at grocery stores all across America, people also recall the song for its inclusion on the soundtrack for "Three Men and a Little Lady."  Next time you think of Steve Guttenburg, please think of Boy Meets Girl.
