Martin Page "Keeper of the Flame"

"Keeper of the Flame" was the other song from singer Martin Page. Much like Jude Cole, Page's impressive resume contains extensive behind-the-scenes work with Josh Groban, Tom Jones, Robbie Williams, Go West, and even Elton John's writing partner, Bernie Taupin. While "Keeper of the Flame" was a minor hit, "In The House of Stone and Light" remains Page's biggest solo achievement.

Josh Groban - "To Where You Are"

It's common for upstart musicians to perform mini-concerts at radio stations during lunchtime.  Often times you're seated next to the receptionist and Ted from sales in the station's conference room while the next big thing is singing his or her heart out.  In 2002, a young man named Josh Groban stopped by the Adult Contemporary station I worked.  This time, however, we didn't get to hear him sing.  Instead his handlers popped in a VHS tape of the latest episode of Ally McBeal and let us listen to Josh performing on Ally McBeal.  It was Josh's second stint on Ally McBeal and in this particular episode he sang "To Where You Are" at a funeral.  The song was co-written and produced by Richard Marx.  We all listened and were floored by Josh's booming voice.  At the end of the "concert", we wished him well and went on our way.  Most times we would never again hear this artist again, but in Josh's case...well, he did alright for himself.
