Swing Out Sister - "Twilight World"

Once a week, my coworker Kevin and I usually grab lunch at the AON building in Chicago.  Their cafeteria-style cafe includes piped in Adult Contemporary music and usually features a gem or two that catches us off guard.  One particular song played last week that neither of us could identify.  Thanks to his trusty Shazam! app, we discovered "Twilight World" by Swing Out Sister.  Kevin's take on the song: it sounds like an off-key Laura Braningan song.

Orleans - "Love Takes Time"

I eat lunch every day at work with my friend and colleague Kevin.  Kevin has lots of tattoos and enjoys heavy metal music.  One afternoon, Kevin and I were deep in conversation when he suddenly became distracted.  He asked me the name of the song that was playing over the loudspeaker.  I didn't know, so Kevin used his Shazam app on his phone.  Our first attempt was unsuccessful, but a second listen turned up Orleans' "Love Takes Time".  It was Orleans' third most-popular single...and now Kevin was no longer distracted.
