Martin Page "Keeper of the Flame"

"Keeper of the Flame" was the other song from singer Martin Page. Much like Jude Cole, Page's impressive resume contains extensive behind-the-scenes work with Josh Groban, Tom Jones, Robbie Williams, Go West, and even Elton John's writing partner, Bernie Taupin. While "Keeper of the Flame" was a minor hit, "In The House of Stone and Light" remains Page's biggest solo achievement.

Go West "What You Won't Do For Love"

What do Bobby Caldwell, Go West and Boyz II Men have in common? They all recorded "What You Won't Do For Love". For Go West, they were one of over a dozen over bands to remake the Caldwell tune. It  peaked at #3 on the Adult Contemporary Chart in 1993.

Go West - "King of Wishful Thinking"

What do you think happened to Julia Roberts and Richard Gere's characters after the movie Pretty Woman ended?  Did they get married, have two kids, and move to the 'burbs?  If so, did they invite the hotel manager to the wedding?  After saying "I do", was Julia Roberts able to kiss Richard Gere on the lips?  Did she buy her wedding dress from that store that originally wouldn't wait on her?  What about Richard Gere: did he decide that his friendship with the George Costanza character wasn't worth it?  Did Richard Gere go to any more polo matches?  Did Julia Roberts and Richard Gere spend evenings watching more reruns of I Love Lucy?  So many questions...

Go West - "Faithful"

In 1997, I worked as a board operator for an AC radio station.  A board operator did everything a DJ did...except talk.  So, I just sat in a room and played music into the wee hours of the night (what a deal!).  Around one o'clock in the morning, the afternoon DJ (who went by the nickname "Big Ken") called me and asked if I would play "Faithful" by Go West.  He was out on a date with a young lady at the time, and she wanted to hear it.  Without question, I found the CD and played the song.  Doing something like that today would likely result in my being fired.  I certainly hope that girl enjoyed her request, and I wonder how she thanked Big Ken.
