Tiffany - "I Think We're Alone Now"

My Dad was driving us home one summer evening in 1987 when Tiffany's "I Think We're Alone Now" started playing on B-96.  My Dad, who was only in his twenties at the time, couldn't believe his ears.  "This was a song from when I was a kid," he told us.  As soon as we got home that night, he pulled out a record of Tommy James & The Shondells performing the original version from 1967.  My brother and I laughed at how "dated" it sounded.  I think it was the first time my Dad felt old.
