Gloria Estefan - "It's Too Late"

On page three of the best-selling book How to Have An Adult Contemporary Hit Played on the Radio is the chapter entitled "Thou Shall Record A Cover of a Classic American Song".  Gloria Estefan clearly checked this book out of the Miami Public Library in 1994 when she put together an entire album of classic songs redone by Miss Conga herself.  Among them, "It's Too Late" was her take on Carole King's classic soft rock hit.  She would also give Carl Carlton a run for his money with "Everlasting Love" and she tackled Vickie Sue Robinson's "Turn the Beat Around."  The album sold 6 million copies.  And that, my friends, is how you get your music on Adult Contemporary radio stations.
