My phone rings late one Friday night.
"Hello?"
"Hey, buddy, I'm in a pinch here and need to get out of town. Can you cover my on-air shift?"
"Jack, it's 10:30pm and you want me to cover your 5:00am shift?!?"
"I wouldn't ask if it wasn't an emergency."
"Why do you have to leave town?
"(silence) Hey, pal, I wouldn't ask if it wasn't an emergency."
"Alright. I'll cover it."
Months later, Jack disappeared for another weekend "getaway", but this time he never returned...
